Where machine precision meets hand-set installation.

Mosaic and inlay work is the most detail-dense stonework we do — small pieces, tight tolerances, and patterns that have to line up perfectly across a floor or wall. The individual pieces are cut on our 5-axis CNC equipment for consistent sizing, then set by hand where pattern alignment and grout lines matter most.

This is also where full-slab and tile work often meet in the same project — a mosaic backsplash under a full-slab countertop, or an inlay accent set into a larger feature wall — which is easier to keep consistent when one shop is handling both.

Mosaic and inlay patterns are laid out and confirmed before cutting begins, since adjustments are far easier on a digital layout than after individual pieces are cut.
Grout line consistency
Hand-set installation is what keeps grout lines even across an intricate pattern, particularly on inlays where pieces aren't uniform squares.
Wet-room suitability
For shower floors and wet rooms, piece size and material porosity both affect slip resistance and drainage — worth discussing at your consultation before material is selected.
What actually drives the cost
Tile and mosaic work is labour-led rather than material-led. The layout, the number of cuts, how many edges and transitions need detailing, and whether the pattern has to align with an adjacent surface all set the time on site — which is usually the larger share of the figure.

Yes. When both are ordered as part of the same project, the mosaic or tile is cut from a coordinating slab so the palette stays consistent across the countertop and backsplash.

Do you install tile floors, or only backsplashes and inlays?

Our in-house crew installs stone tile and mosaic work for floors, backsplashes, and wet rooms — not just decorative inlays.

Is stone mosaic tile suitable for a shower floor?

It can be, depending on piece size and material — smaller pieces generally mean more grout lines and better slip resistance. We'll go over the right option for a wet-room floor specifically during your consultation.

What tile formats and layouts do you install?

Large-format porcelain and marble tile, herringbone and chevron layouts, mosaic inlays and geometric floor medallions, curbed and curbless walk-in showers, and tile floors for commercial spaces.

What determines the cost of tile or mosaic work?

Mostly labour rather than material. The pattern and layout, the number of cuts, how many edges and transitions need finishing, and whether the design has to align with a countertop or backsplash already in place all change the time on site. Intricate hand-set mosaic takes longer than a simple running-bond field, and that difference is most of the cost.
